SPLENDOUR OF NORTH INDIA WITH NEPAL
 

Day01: Delhi.
On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day02: Delhi.
Morning after breakfast full day for exploring Capitol State of India by visiting Qutab Minar, India Gate, Bahai temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, Jama Masjid. Evening free for market place. Overnight at hotel.

Day03: Delhi-Jaipur by surface. (260 Kms, 5-6 hrs).
Morning after breakfast leave for Jaipur by surface. Reach Jaipur by afternoon. On arrival check in hotel. In the evening take a walking tour of the pink city bazaar for souvenir shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day04: Jaipur.
Morning after breakfast visit Amber fort - commenced by Raja Man Singh in 1600 AD and then completed by Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th century. The fort is an example of fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture built in red sandstone and white marble. The highlight of the fort is the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), a palace known for its craftsmanship in mirrors. You can enjoy the elephant ride while climbing the fort. After lunch visit the old city of Jaipur “Pink city” built in 18th century by king Jai Singh. Visit City Palace, the observatory of 18th century - Jantar Mantar and fanciful Hawa Mahal or Palace of breeze. Overnight at hotel.

Day05: Jaipur-Agra by surface. (235 kms, 5-6 hrs).
Morning after breakfast leave for Agra. Enroute stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the 16th century medieval capital city of the Mughals abandoned barely six years after its completion. Its wealth of beautiful red sandstone structures contains the emperor's apartments, the Hall of Private Audience where the emperor received and conferred with special visitors, the carved, airy apartment called the Turkish Sultana's House; the Hall of Public Audience, a courtyard Pachisi board where, it is said, colorfully dressed ladies of the court served as pieces in chess games played by royalty, and an elegant five storied pavilion called Panch Mahal. On arrival in Agra check in hotel. Evening free. Overnight at hotel.

Day06: Agra –Varanasi by overnight train.
Full day sightseeing of the world famous city for its monument of love. We begin with a visit to Agra Fort built by three generations of Mughal emperors. From an interior pavilion you can see the Taj Mahal appearing across the River Yamuna as a distant mirage. We proceed to the mausoleum of Itmad -ud Daula that was built by Empress Noor Jahan, nine years before the construction of the Taj Mahal was begun. It is the first Mughal era building of all white marble, with designs that are even more delicate than those of the Taj Mahal. Almost the entire surface is covered with mosaics inlaid with semi-precious stones, and marble latticework decorates entrance arches, inside walls and screens. In the afternoon we visit the incomparable Taj Mahal. Commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan as a memorial to his dead wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the mausoleum is the result of hard work of more than 20,000 workmen and 22 years, from 1631 to 1653, to complete. Evening Transfer to Railway Station for overnight journey.

Day07: Varanasi.
On arrival transfer to hotel. Relax and freshening. Later after lunch go for sightseeing tour of Holy City; visit Tulsi Manas Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Sarnath, where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Overnight at hotel.

Day08: Varanasi-Kathmandu by flight.
Morning at dawn boat ride on the holy river Ganges to witness bathing and cremation ghats. There are over 100 numbers of Ghats while most of them are used for bathing but some of them are used for cremating. Later in time transfer to airport to catch flight for Kathmandu. On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day09: Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu you will have a fascinating time visiting Buddhist and Hindu Temples and Shrines reflecting ancient local tradition. Visit Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath, Bouddhnath and Stupas on hillock, which offer, breathe taking view of Kathmandu city. Overnight stay.

Day10: Kathmandu-Mugling-Gaighat-Chitwan.
Drive to Mugling to begin day raft (2-3 hrs) to Gaighat. Later leave Chitwan national park on arrival check in Resort/Camp. Overnight stay.

Day11: Chitwan National Park
Today is the day for Jungle activities which include elephant safari, boat ride and nature walk. Overnight stay.

Day12: Chitwan – Katmandu by surface.
Early morning after breakfast leave for Kathmandu by road to reach in late afternoon. Upon arrival check in hotel.  Evening at leisure and overnight at hotel.

Day13: Kathmandu –Delhi by flight.
Morning free in Kathmandu for souvenier shopping and independent activities. Later in time transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Later catch flight for Onward journey.
